Black Friday top deals

Black Friday has now become one of the biggest shopping events of the year UK and the good news is, it’s also become bigger and better, with big names such as John Lewis also participating in it this year.

It hasn’t always been great, but with bargain hungry consumers desperately searching for top deals for their Christmas wish list, retailers have promised some great deals for 2017.

MMM has been looking around and handpicked some deals, but remember, before you splash the cash, always ask yourself if you actually need it and if you can afford it. Look at the price, not just the discount.

It’s a good idea to also do your research – see if the ‘deal’ really is a deal, and if something is too good to be true, then it probably is – always be wary of potential scams and make sure you shop from reputable and genuine sites.

Make a list of what you want and stick to it – don’t just start adding things to your basket for the fun if it, because Christmas could become financially difficult otherwise. Finally, set yourself a strict budget.

Ok, now that we’ve given you the pet talk, let’s take a look at some top deals and gift ideas – and where to find them:

UGG

It’s not often you see Uggs discounted, but this Black Friday, you can grab them with as much as 50% off. Not all styles are half price, but the discounts are pretty generous. We rarely see this discount, so if you want a pair, now is a good time.

50% off Uggs

The Perfume Shop

The Perfume shop has slashed prices off some top name perfumes.

For example, the Burberry Body Tender (60ml) perfume will go for just £16.99 – saving over £30 – and it smells fab!

The Jimmy Choo Flash is also just £199.99 – usually £46.00

Superdrug

If you love make-up and beauty, Superdrug has some amaxing deals, and some great gifts sets (or for yourself) on it’s well renowned Revolution make up palettes – they are tops and better still, great price.

This Revolution box is just £50 – usually £100.

There are plenty to choose from, many are reduced for Black Friday.

And speaking of make-up, MMM loved this LED mirror – it has three sides and lights up oh so bright – not more make-up in poor lighting. It’s £20, down from £30.

Amazon

Amazon is pretty much responsible for Black Friday in the Uk, so we expect good deals from the online retailer.

And if you fancy it, Amazon has for the first time has a pop up shop in London, Soho – you can see a number of items and then you simply scan a QR code to order.

Reduce your grocery bill by 70% this summer!

The kids are off school and they are going to be hungry – inevitably, the next few weeks will see the cost of your weekly shop shoot up.

To help families keep the costs of food shopping down, MMM put Approved Food to the test, which can help slash the cost of shopping by as much as 70%.

There is of course one catch – the food is past or close to its sell-by date, but perfectly safe.

With a £30 budget, MMM managed to bag a fair amount – cereals, tinned food, sweets and treats, drinks and even laundry detergent and dishwasher tablets – the sort of things where you can generally ignore the date stamped on the product.

If you’ve tried reducing the cost of the grub by switching brands or shopping at discount stores but think you can do better, then try Approved Food  – you’ll be surprised at just how much you could save on some store cupboard essentials.

New products are available everyday and there are some real bargains. For example, Sprite Zero 330ml for just 29p or a 2kg Reeses Peanut jar for just £2.99. There’s even stuff for pets, at more than 50% off.

MMM was really pleased with service and surprised at just how at just how much £30 would buy (see pic above/ instagram).

Although we would like to see Approved Food cut down on the cardboard packaging, the items arrived well packed and in excellent condition.

So, if you’re looking to save a few more pounds on your groceries, take a look at Approved food – you’ll be surprised at just how good the bargains are.
